2008 Cougars Roster Completed

The roster for the Cougars has been completed, and it brings no surprise that the core of the team is the same as for the Trojan basketball team. Matt Coen, Andy Wayne, and Darrell Wright, all former high school baseball players, have been added to the roster.

Calen Ketterman and Dan Zimmerman have also been added to the roster. Both players played intramural basketball for the Yings team, which incidentally defeated the Trojans in basketball, so we know both are great athletes and will make a great addition to the team.

Josh Kesner, Bryan Edwards, and Matt Woods have been finalized on the roster. Woods, who has been practicing softball with the team, finds himself in the pitching role.

Last but CERTAINLY not least, Potomac State College softball team players Jen Shuke and Ashley Metcalfe also have been added to the roster. Great friends of the Cougars team, both Shuke and Metcalfe are sophomore players for the PSC school softball team. Shuke plays outfield, while Metcalfe also plays outfield and is a starting pitcher for PSC, and a damn good one I might add.

Although it may be a tad arrogant, I would venture to say in all confidence that the Cougars will be the best team in intramural softball. Every single player has previous baseball and softball experience, and both sports are by far the best sports of the Cougar players.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to the official site of the Potomac State College intramural softball team The Cougars. The Trojans are headed by Nathan Delawder, a former East Hardy High School baseball star. The East Hardy Cougars, whom the Cougars are named after, went to the West Virginia state baseball championship game in Delawder's senior year. Always a threat to go yard from the left side of the plate, Delawder has high expectations for the Cougars.

Team co-captain Chaz Teets also has previous baseball experience, participating in several summer baseball leagues, including the Rockingham County baseball league for the Shenandoah Indians. Teets expects to play quite well this season, as softball and baseball are Teets' best sports.

The Cougars will have a deep and talented roster, filled with talented players. As the roster becomes complete, it will be updated as players are added.
